Hearts Like Mine and Yours (Proverbs 17:20)
PROVERBS 4:23--I have been listening alot to my iPod lately. It holds 16g of music. I don't even have it a quarter of the way filled yet, and I have 933 songs on it. Get this... These songs were carefully selected, because they have enriched my life over the years. Many of these go as far back as the late 80s. Nope, not one of them is from the "world." They are ALL songs that exemplify who Gos is in me. My heart MUST be filled with things that will honor God and His Son, Jesus (Yeshua), the Messiah. As many of you may already be aware of, we have pretty messed up lives. We say stupud stuff (sometimes planned and sometimes oops). Proverbs 16:2 We are deceptive and conniving, to say the least. As I started saying, the music I have placed on my MUSIC THINGY has been given new priority in my life, thus it is making a huge impact in my mind (hearing). Many of the next few posts will come from my time with the Christian music I have been listening to. Enjoy!!! I have a pretty messed up heart. I never really understand why I choose to do what I do, but they get done. When people say "I know his or her heart; they are good people." They are 100% wrong, per God's Word. Check out Proverbs 17:9-10. Out of all the hearts in the world, I've only one to give. So insecure... A desperate pulse, racing to God's embrace. That He could want me and seek me, is more than words could ever say! That He would love me and see in me, A pearl of price, thrown away... A heart like mine, how could it be worthy that He'd find, a way to redeem this hardened clay. Twisted and broken... Oh Father God above, the wonder that You'd love a heart like mine. His holy hands hold me still, shaping my heart anew. Once vacant shell, now reclaimed, offers its praise to Him. He is the one Who has searched for me (and each of you). He is the one who searched until He found me, a wounded lamb whose gone astray. You stopped the world to recover me, oh Lamb of God, the price You've paid... I make my promise to do the one thing I can do. With abandon, I can give every heartbeat to Him. Proverbs 12:17-22
