Does Your "Walk" Match Your "Talk?"
[Isa 33:15-16] "He who walks righteously and speaks what is right...will dwell on the heights...his bread will be supplied, and water will not fail him." Guys, this nugget came from my wife's and my devotion time. I am happy to say that we have one . There was a time when we did not. I can see what a joy and important opportunity it is for us to mature our relationship with each other WITH God there in the front and back (see the jail-break of the Isrealites from Egypt in the book of Exodus)! I am always challenged to live in my home-life the same way I "try" to out in the public eye. I have made a verbal contract with my family (mainly my wife)--and the men I meet with on each Tuesday--to confront me if they see or hear anything from me that does not match each other. ...And they have done so!!! I will QUOTE something from that devotional book. I am NOT a believer of quoting a man, but the ones I do use are real doozies. Here is one that caused me to get a bit dizzy. I hope you have to sit down a bit longer than usual due to getting the "snot" knocked out of you with this encouraging truth. "We all need to be held accountable for our words and our actions. If the "walk" doesn't match the "talk," we will appear dishonest and wishy-washy. It is not always easy to do what is right, even though we preach it. How can we be persons of integrity, never compromising ourselves or our faith? Our lives should be mirrors of Christ, who Who put into practice all the virtues He preached. Seek Him today and ask Him to fill you with the desire and the strength to be a person of character and honesty. People WILL take notice." Pretty heavy huh? After our reading of the lesson's principle, there is a time for sharing; appropriately named: "MARRIAGE MOMENTS." This is the place where two(2) questions are asked, and we discuss with complete transparency of our thougts. After that [sometimes awkward] period, we pray! I love it!!! How about it...? Does your walk match with your talk? How is your relatioship with your wife? Your God? Your Savior?

Very convenient to include a hyperlink so I can share this blog on Fb
